Data deletion

Delete data yourself

1. Open the app and go to Library.

2. Select a recording and confirm its deletion: the entry, including its complete transcript and summaries, will be removed from the device.

3. To erase all history together with the remembered email address and cookies, clear app data: on Android, Settings → Apps → Transcription → Storage → Clear data; in a browser, clear site data.

4. For an active job, choose Cancel. The service starts cleaning up temporary files and confirms successful cancellation after cleanup finishes. Cleanup is retried if it fails; if the app shows an error or the connection is lost, do not treat pressing the button as confirmation of deletion.

You do not need to sign in to delete local history. If you chose to sign in with Google or Apple, account deletion is available in the account section: a successful confirmation means the provider authorization has been revoked and the server account record deleted. An error does not confirm deletion. Signing out only ends the current session. You can separately disconnect Instagram in the same section; its authorization can also be revoked at Instagram.

Ask us to delete data

Write to WhatsApp +55 48 98838-1971 and state that you are requesting deletion of data from the Transcription app. Include the job identifier if you still have it so we can locate the record faster. Requests are handled within 7 days.

Data that is deleted

An ordinary job and its result are available for 24 hours from creation. A job waiting for processing capacity may be extended to a maximum of 7 days from job creation, not from each retry. While waiting, selected materials, prepared audio chunks and intermediate checkpoints for resuming processing are held in private Cloudflare R2 storage. After expiry, the service stops returning the job and deletes its record when the timer runs or the record is accessed. To speed up repeated processing of public links, the service may temporarily store the transcript and summaries in a separate cache. That cache is valid for 7 days from writing and is not used after expiry. This does not synchronize your local history.

After completion, cancellation or terminal failure, the service deletes temporary processing files from Cloudflare R2; failed cleanup is retried. A full transcript already produced may remain in the job result until its expiry even if a summary or translation did not finish. Additional cleanup of expired files and cache runs hourly. Technical delays may postpone physical deletion. Successful cancellation is confirmed after cleanup is checked.

For collections, selected links, metadata, episode results and HTML/PDF documents are available for 7 days from collection creation. After expiry, they are no longer returned and cleanup of server records and files begins; physical cleanup may be delayed. Deleting an account or local entry does not itself replace cleanup of temporary jobs and collections; contact support for early deletion.

Guest history stays on the device. After signing in, deletion of an account entry is synchronized with the cloud library. Success is confirmed after synchronization; retry if it fails. Clearing site or app data removes local history, the account cache and the remembered email address, but not the cloud library. Deleting the account removes its cloud history and the current local cache. Temporary jobs and processing cache are deleted separately.
